Version 2.19.0 is released!

We develop and improve crowd:it continuously. And now, a new version is released with great new features.

In addition to various bug fixes, there are also a few great new features that we would like to introduce to you.

New Default Color Scheme

With the latest update, crowd:it’s default color scheme has been completely revised with selected, fine-tuned colors. If you want to customize the color for a simulation object, our new crowd:it color palette is also available. Here you can choose between solid colors and transparency. The former is particularly suitable for individual lines, such as queues, while the latter is better suited for entire areas. Alternatively, you can define your own colors as RGB or HSL as before.

Permutable Pathsnippets

The functionality around pathsnippets has been extended: You can now set whether the elements in the pathsnippet should be traversed in the given order as it was done up to now, or whether the elements should be permuted - that means they will be traversed in a random order. In this way, many routes can be represented at once with only one pathsnippet. For example, if you want some agents to go to the checkroom first and then to the ticket counter, while other visitors should do this in the reverse order, it was previously necessary to create two separate pathsnippets for this. With permutable pathsnippets, this is now possible with just a single pathsnippet. The more elements the pathsnippet contains, the more combinations arise.
In addition, even with permuted pathsnippets, a probability can be specified for each element with which an agent selects this element. In this way, individual elements can be skipped.

Reworked Tree Hierarchy

hierarchie Ansicht

The hierarchical view of paths, pathsnippets and sets has been expanded with more information. For example, sets now show which selection process is set for them; for elements of a pathsnippet the probability with which the element is selected by agents is indicated, and for individual simulation objects it is listed on which floors they are accessible.
