Even though we can't mention everyone, who supported or supports us – accu:rate wouldn't have been so successfull without the help and dedication of a lot of people.

University of Applied Sciences Munich, Prof. Dr. Gerta Köster

team-koester

The Munich University of Applied Sciences researches the modeling and simulation of pedestrian flows since 2010, when Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Köster took up her professorship of Scientific Computing. Since 2007 Prof. Köster has been working in security research, in particular in the investigation and modeling of crowd flow simulations. Until 2010 she was responsible for the topic "Crowd Control" and lead the subprojects on flow simulation in the projects SinoVE and REPKA at Siemens AG, Corporate Technology Department promoted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF ). In her research she appreciates robust processes and applicability to practically implement scientific progress.

Since 2010 she leads a research group at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, working on pedestrian flow simulations. In the BMBF project MEPKA, the „Optimal Steps Model“ was developed, that allows people to have a variable step length to come closer to the target. In the BMBF project MultikOSi she and her team explore how psycho-social behavior can be meaningfully integrated into computer models.

Prof. Köster is member of the scientific committees of the PED 2012, the TGF 2013 and the PED 2014, some of the most important conferences on crowd flow simulations.

Technical University of Munich, Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Borrmann

team-borrmann

The Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation under the chair of Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Borrmann researches on the modeling and simulation of pedestrian flows since its inception in 2012. One of the research priorities of the Department are scale transitions between different modeling levels (macroscopic, mesoscopic, microscopic) in pedestrian flow simulations. Among other thigs the Chair is involved in Research Cooperation MultikOSi, which is founded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, Educational Partner Computational Science

The University of Applied Sciences Graubünden is an innovative and entrepreneurial university in Chur (Switzerland). Since 2020 accu:rate has been a practice partner in the bachelor program Computational and Data Science under the direction of Prof. Corsin Capol. After graduation, the students work as data scientists, simulation engineers or software engineers. Cooperation with companies such as accu:rate ensures a high degree of practical experience during the studies and a simplified entry into professional life for the students. In the company, students can get to know different areas of application in a practical way and gain first work experience.

VDS GmbH - Veranstaltung | Dienstleistung | Sicherheit, Roland G. Meier

The services of VDS GmbH are based on 25 years of professional qualification and practical experience in visitor and event security.
This includes security consulting for operators, organisers and authorities and the creation and implementation of security concepts in the form of security coordination for events.
One focus of the company is crowd management (visitor guidance), which was successfully used, for example, at the championship celebrations of FC Bayern Munich in 2013.
Since 2013, VDS GmbH has been the coordinator of the three-year research project MultikOSi, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The aim of the project is to research support systems for the safe design and implementation of major urban events.
The managing director Roland G. Meier has been an expert for event safety and places of assembly since 2009 and has been certified by the German Association of Experts (DGSV) as well as a certified "safety expert for places of assembly" (certificate from TÜV Saarland) since 2013. He is 1st chairman of the Federal Association for Event Security.
