2.12.0 is released!

We develop and improve crowd:it continuously. And now, a new version is released with great new features.

Defining accessible objects in personas

In crowd:it, different populations with different distributions for torso size and speed can be defined - the so-called personas. With the latest update, it is now possible to specify for each persona exactly which simulation objects are accessible to it and which are not. For example, a persona could only use elevators to change floors, but not stairs or escalators. In this way, scenarios can now be optimally simulated and planned for the barrier-free access of mobility-impaired persons.

Orange Agenten wählen nur den Aufzug
Accessible objects: Orange agents choose elevator only, blue agents choose stairs or elevator.

Formation of lanes while waiting in origins

It happens very often at events: there are many people standing in one area and yet lanes form so that individuals can pass through to get to the bar or their group, for example. We have now mimicked this behavior. When agents are still in their reaction time, i.e. have not yet run from their origin, they avoid each other and lanes form automatically.

Show number of generated agents

With the last update, a new overview was added that clearly shows how many agents are generated during the simulation. The info tab on the right side of the software shows the number of generated agents for the whole scenario as well as per floor. In addition, this information can also be retrieved for one or more selected sources. With this functionality you can easily check the settings you have made for your simulation.
